Frequently Asked Questions

  • For most facials, peels, dermaplaning, and massages, you can book directly. For laser treatments (Carbon Peel, Photofacial Browns, Photofacial Reds) and most laser series, a consultation is required first. Our 45-minute Skin Consultation lets us assess your skin, review med

  • Microneedling uses a controlled tool to create thousands of tiny micro-channels in the surface of your skin. Your body responds by ramping up natural collagen and elastin production, which over the next several weeks smooths texture, evens tone, softens fine lines, and improves skin firmness. The treatment itself takes about 60 minutes, with most of that being numbing and aftercare. Visible improvement usually shows up around 4 to 6 weeks after treatment, and most clients buil

  • Regular microneedling triggers your skin's collagen response on its own. Microneedling with exosomes adds a topical layer of growth factors (the messenger molecules that signal cells to regenerate) directly into the skin during the treatment, while the channels are open and the absorption is highest. The result is a stronger, faster collagen response, faster recovery, and visible results that usually appear sooner.

  • ost clients describe it as mild discomfort, more like a vibrating sandpaper sensation than a painful procedure. We apply a numbing cream before treatment so the experience stays comfortable. Recovery is typically 1 to 3 days of looking sun-kissed or slightly pink, with some clients experiencing very light flaking on day 2 or 3. You can usually return to your normal routine the next day, and we will send you home with a clear post-treatment plan including which products to use and which to skip.

  • IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. It uses a broad spectrum of light wavelengths to target multiple skin concerns at once: sun damage, brown spots, redness, broken capillaries, and overall texture. A laser, by contrast, uses a single focused wavelength tuned to one specific target, typically going deeper or working on more concentrated concerns. At Grace Hill, our Photofacial treatments are IPL-based and start at $250. Most clients build a series of 3 to 5 sessions for cumulative results.

  • AFA peels (Amino Fruit Acid) are gentler, often called "lunchtime peels" because there is no real downtime. The AFA Regular Peel ($200) is sometimes called the Bridal Peel because it gives a glow without redness, perfect before a big event. Dermalogica peels are professional-grade and target specific concerns. The Pro Power Peel ($150 to $175) is stronger and addresses fine lines, texture, and clarity. We help you choose based on your skin, your goals, and how much downtime you can spare
